摘要
The hydrogen-rich crude gas produced is fed to a membrane filter to remove the content of carbon dioxide, a large part of the carbon monoxide and other impurities and divided into a filter waste gas stream and pre-purified hydrogen gas stream. The pre-purified hydrogen gas stream is then subjected to catalytic oxidation of the remaining carbon monoxide and fed to the fuel cell. Electrical energy is produced by: (a) producing a hydrogen-rich and amounts of raw gas containing carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide by catalytically converting liquid and/or gaseous fuels; (b) removing impurities from the raw gas to form a hydrogen gas stream suitable for a fuel cell; and (c) introducing the hydrogen gas stream into the anode chambers of a fuel cell. An Independent claim is also claimed for an apparatus for carrying out the production of electrical energy comprising a device (1) for catalytically converting fuels into hydrogen-rich crude gas, a purifier for removing impurities from the crude gas, and a fuel cell (4) for producing electrical energy from the purified hydrogen-rich gas. The purifier is a membrane filter (2) with a catalytic oxidation device (3) connected to the anode chamber of the fuel cell (4).
