Parallel rods (6.1-6.12), consisting of respectively two non-length changing rods, are arranged between the carrying rails (1, 2) and the linear drives (5.1-5.8) fixed at the machine body (4). The rods at both ends have bearings and joints (7). For the production of the desired carrying rail movement a program control controls the corresponding linear drive (5.1-5.8). The synchronous movement of the linear drive without swivel movement of the parallel rods produces the transport movement, and-or by asynchronous movement of the linear drive with swivel movement of the parallel rods, produces the horizontal and vertical movement (y-z plane) of the carrying rails.
