Locking mechanism for mobile section of upper deck of rail transporter transporting motor vehicles

The vehicle rail transporter (1) is fitted with mechanisms, which are provided for locking the mobile section (6) of the upper deck (3), when it is in the raised position, for carrying vehicles. The wagon is fitted with devices (10), which serve to handle the upper deck into one of two positions, the primary position is inclined towards the load platform, to allow for loading, and the locking mechanism (12) is de-activated. The second working position is when the mobile section of the upper deck is co-planar with the fixed section (5). The control levers (37) operate via. interconnecting links (22) to the operating links (23), which serve to manipulate the locking devices (12), which, when in the active position, prevent any movement of the mobile section of the upper load deck.
