In an electrophotographic photoconductor with a conductive substrate and a photoconducting film with several layers, each containing a charge generating agent (I) and a charge transport agent, (a) (I) is a phthalocyanine, titanyl phthalocyanine or copper phthalocyanine of formula (i) and (b) the (I) concentration in an upper layer (4c) is higher than the (I) concentration in a lower layer (4a). In (i), M = titanyl (TiO), 2 hydrogen (2H) or Cu; R1-R4 = H or methyl; and k, l, m, n = 0-3.
