The profiled section consists of several hollow elements and has at least one profiled core (4a,4b) for reinforcement; at least one inner casing (5a,5b) and at least one outer casing (3a,3b), all stuck together. The core may be made of recycled plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastic and have a honeycomb cross-section. A profiled bar (11) is clipped into the core and contains an extra seal (12) against which the casement rests.
