Audio and video switching arrangement for switching audio and video signals between different audio-visual equipments

The arrangement has a first power supply which delivers power to a first switch, a second power supply which delivers power to a second switch and a third power supply which delivers power to a third switch. The switches are operated to enable the switching of audio and video signals between three audio-visual devices (2,3,4). A control circuit (10) coupled to the three power supplies controls them by switching the three switches on and off individually. An Independent claim is also included for a method of controlling a switching arrangement.
