Galvanizing steel sheets, particularly assembled sheets such as structural parts of motor vehicles distinguished by a particular silicon and phosphorus content

A galvanization process for steel sheets containing silicon and phosphorus comprises: (a) dipping a part to be treated in a bath containing 300-350 g/l of zinc chloride and 100-150 g/l of ammonium chloride at a temperature in the order of 38 deg C; the part is coated with an interface layer; and (b) immersing the part in a galvanization bath containing 0.5-0.20 % by weight of aluminum at 440-450 deg C, so as to obtain an even coating 10-40 mu m thick.
