The drive circuit has a drive stage for the source-signal line and a drive stage for the gate-signal line. The gate-signal line drive stage has a buffer circuit which buffers a time signal from a shift register circuit and includes a number of inverter stages, each consisting of a number of inverters connected in parallel. The display device contains a driver circuit and an image point matrix circuit. An Independent claim is also included for a semiconducting display device.
