The fat tissue reduction method uses irradiation of the selected body area with IRA radiation over a given time interval, e.g. of at least 30 minutes, with the fat tissue heated by at least 5 degrees C. Body parameters may be monitored during the irradiation process for regulation of the irradiation parameters.
