The invention concerns a multi-purpose joint comprising a base part (1), an anchor basis (2) located far from said base part and used as a securing element, a sealing lip (3) and a sealing bulge (4) on the same side of the base part as that of the sealing lip, said sealing lip (3) having a pretty large recess (5). In order to use the inventive joint both as a glazing joint and a stop joint and at the same time bend it with no formation of wrinkles, the sealing lip is laterally offset relative to the anchor basis center line (M) extended by a distance (B) towards the sealing bulge (4), and presents a sealing lip portion (7) with a convex curvature bulging outwards relative to the sealing surface (6) of the sealing lip (3), while the sealing bulge (4) is made virtually of foam.
