A roller table for transporting elongated, bar-shaped materials, in particular hollow sections of any cross-section, has regularly spaced transport rollers whose axes of rotation extend perpendicularly to the transport direction of the materials. According to the invention, the cover plates are designed as swivelling guide boards whose swivelling axis (14) is located in the area of the first transport roller (10), seen in the transport direction (13). When they swivel inwards, the guide boards form a rising slope in the transport direction.
