Use of a co-extruded, matt polyolefin film with asymmetrical layer construction and minimal roll inclination as a carrier film for wound bottles

Asymmetric matt polyolefin films (F) with a low curl tendency and a gloss value less than 5 on one side (measured at an angle of 20 degrees according to DIN 67 530) - comprise at least two layers of matrix material comprising olefin co- or homopolymers or copolymers of olefins with comonomers contg. oxygen atoms, these resins having melt flow index values of 0.2-8.0 g/10 mins. (measured at 190 degrees C and 2.16 kg load according to DIN 53 735) and densities of 0.900-0.960 g/cm3, with the important properties of the matrix materials being the same in each layer. The low gloss outer layer of the film contains 10-25% substantially evenly distributed layer silicate filler with a mean particle size less than 20 mu m.
