Polyisocyanates (I) contg. isocyanurate gps., and prepd. by the following method, are new. (I) are prepd. by (a) reacting 10-90 pts. low mol. aliphatic isocyanate (II) with a mol. wt. of 128-800 and NCO functionality of 1.7-2.2 and 90-10 pts. low-mol. aromatic isocyanate (III) with a mol. wt. of 148-800 and NCO functionality of 1.7-2.2, with catalytic trimerisation with 0.1-10% aminosilyl cpd. (IV) w.r.t. (II) + (III); and (b) removing excess distillable monomers to a (II) + (III) content 0.7 wt.%. Also claimed is the method of prepg. (I).
