The watch includes a device(14) for indicating terrestrial magnetic north. The device is arranged in the watch housing(32) in a peripheral region lateral to the watch movement(2). The device includes a permanent magnet(16) mounted on a shaft(18) and a direction indicator(24) fixed to the shaft(18).
