The automatic stripping and fixing machine has an arm (740) moving the wire connector sections forward. The stripped wire is inserted into the wire connector, and an upper stamping mechanism (5) is activated to close the connector grips on the wire. There are two separate tools (630,631) acting to close the grips. A housing (51) at the side of the mechanical arrangement defines the lower dead point for the operation.
