Improvements to the protheses under - cutaneous for mammary plastic surgery

The prosthesis consists of a mesh circle (1) at least partly of a resorbable material, with a metal reinforcing element (2) and a V-shaped cut-away section which makes the circle into a conical shape when the reinforcing element is tensioned. The reinforcing element is equipped with a stop (3) e.g. of polypropylene with two channels to hold the two ends of the element in position by friction after tensioning. The mesh circle itself is made e.g. from 'Vicryl' (RTM), comprising filaments of terephthalic polyester (40 %) and polyglactine 910 (60 %), which is resorbed by hydrolysis in about 90 days.
