For this, a digital leveling and the amplitude of the noise signal (5) accompanying the target signal (6) in the detection signal (4) are carried out before the digital filtering adapted to the statistical behavior of the target signal (6). by means of a digital prediction filter (15) whose coefficients are adjusted, by means of a transformation calculator (10), according to the autocorrelation function of the noise signal (5) instantly captured from the target area so that the series of coefficients of the adapted digital filter (13) is, as far as possible, correlated only with the target signal (6) contained in the detection signal (4). / P
