The invention relates to a blood pumping device for implantation in the body, comprising a pump body (13) which can be connected by inlets and outlets (22, 24) to the circulatory system of a patient, and a drive chamber (18) tightly enclosing a servomotor and capable of acting on a movable plate (28) of the pump body (13) by means of an arm (33), one end of which is connected to the movable plate and the other end of which is subjected to the action of an eccentric shaft rotated by the booster. A roller bearing on which the arm moves can be mounted on this shaft. The movable plate (28) can be implanted in the immediate vicinity of a lung so that the latter moves with the plate during pumping of the blood and thus fulfills the function of a compliance chamber. A speed reducer can be provided between the motor and the eccentric shaft. Application area: treatment of heart failure.
