Electric vehicles powered by large-capacity electric double-layer capacitors

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space, and reinforce a car body structure by integrally arranging an electric double layer capacitor also serving as reinforcement of the vehicle body structure and a protective case to house a control device in a car body bottom part or a part of a frame. SOLUTION: A protective case 12 is arranged in a bottom part of a car body 11 as a housing part of a double layer capacitor, and an electric double layer capacitor is housed through a shock absorbing material. Cases to house a control apparatus are arranged in from and in rear of this protective case 12. A material by lining its inside with an insulator by molding an iron plate by a press or a material by molding synthetic resin strong in strength or the like is used as a construction material of the case. Therefore, a space can be reduced, and a vehicle body structure can be reinforced.
