PURPOSE: To provide running operation of a reach-type forklift working basically on a drive wheeling of a normal reach-type forklift, for carrying out handle operation by one hand, and for carrying out acceleration command as well as advance angle command in the proceeding direction of a vehicle by the other hand at the same time. ;CONSTITUTION: A running operational lever 8 comprising a two-dimensional joy stick is provided on a reach-type forklift, for which a load wheel is supported by each of the right and left straddle arms so that the wheel can be steered, and which is provided with a drive wheel that can be steered by a steering wheel. The amount of displacement of the running operational lever 8 serves as acceleration command, while the amount of displacement in the lateral direction as angular velocity command of the advance angle of the reach-type forklift, and the running operation is thus facilitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
