PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure with machining allowance by a CAD/CAM system and to prepare tool tracing data for working the allowance. ;SOLUTION: A mold structure 41a provided with machining allowance 95 is prepared from a mold structure 41 provided with finish marks (white inverted triangles). In order to prepare tool trace (tool tracing data) for a tool head 94 and the structure 41a, interference is checked on a screen. In an interference generation state, an operator changes a tool 91 to a longer tool 91a and executes interference check again. Thus the tool tracing data for the mold structure 41a with the machining allowance can be almost automatically prepared.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
