摘要

PURPOSE: To produce a high strength Al alloy thick plate for welding structure high in proof stress in the base metal and weld heat-affected zone by subjecting an Al alloy ingot having a specified compsn. constituted of Mn, Mg, Ti and Al and in which the content of Fe as impurities is regulated to heating to a specified temp. and thereafter executing specified hot rolling. ;CONSTITUTION: An alloy ingot contg., by weight, 1.0 to 2.0% Mn, 3.0 to 6.0% Mg and 0.005 to 0.2% Ti and furthermore contg., at need, 0.05 to 0.10% Cr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and in which the content of Fe as impurity components is regulated to 0.15% is heated to ≤500°C. After that, it is subjected to hot rolling in such a manner that the rolling is finished in the temp. range of 300 to 400°C. In this way, the Al alloy thick plate excellent in the tensile strength, proof stress and elongation of the original plate and small in the deterioration in tensile strength and proof stress even being exposed to a high temp. by welding or the like can be obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
