PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-current solid power cable and a direct-current solid power cable line capable of suppressing an environmental problem and an electrolytic corrosion problem without laying a grounding (neutral) cable in the case of a seawater return circuit mode, and to provide a monitoring method of the direct-current solid power cable line. ;SOLUTION: In a direct-current power cable equipped with a conductor, an insulator, a metallic sheath 1, a corrosion proofing layer 2, and armoring wire 4A, 4B, the armoring wire 4A, 4B is used as passages for return current. The armoring wire 4A, 4B is each formed of a multiplicity of wires, and copper wire is used as the inner armoring wire 4A while iron wire is used as the outer armoring wire 4B. Because of the ionization tendency, the outer armoring wire 4B is electrolytically corroded earlier tan the inner armoring wire 4A, and therefore the inner armoring wire 4A is protected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
