PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a buckwheat husk pillow where insect development is prevented so as to permit insect development to be remarkably reduced by filling buckwheat husks which are steamed through the use of steam by means of specified temp. in a pressure cooker and, after that dried in a bag body for the pillow. ;SOLUTION: The buckwheat husks 5 where a buckwheat seed and buckwheat powder remain are steamed in the pressure cooker 9 with steam by temp. being more than 100°C, the eggs of an insect stuck to the buckwheat husks 5 are killed and, at the same time, the buckwheat seeds and buckwheat powder are made to be a state being the same as that where rice is cooked so as to be boiled rice. They are dried and the steamed buckwheat seeds and powder are made to be a state being the same as that where boiled rice is dried. Any kind of cooker is available for the pressure cooker 9 when pressure exceeding air pressure is given and steam is introduced in it. It is preferable that pressure is 1.1-3kg/cm2, temp. in the pressure cooker 9 is 100°C-250°C and a steaming time is 5-20 minutes as a condition for steaming the buckwheat husks 5 in the pressure cooker 9 but it is adequate that temp. of the whole buckwheat husks 5 existing in the pressure cooker 9 becomes more than 100°C as the condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
