Marioneffes, Wetland and Buckwheat Noodles on the Northwest Plateau

cqvip:THE Yellow River in Shaanxi province, Northwest China is regarded as the cradle of Chinese civilization. Heyang County, 160 km northeast of provincial capital Xi’an, was one of the earliest settlements along it. As such, it is a treasure trove of ancient cultural relics and folkways. One form of folk entertainment that originated, and is ongoing, in Heyang, is its marionette shows.
