PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form an induced magnetic anisotropy and also to easily control its orientation and magnitude, by adjusting a sol-gel solution of a specific metal oxide, coating the sol-gel solution on the surface of an iron based amorphous magnetic alloy ribbon, for drying and thermal treatment. SOLUTION: A sol/gel coating solution 4 of metal oxide selected among MgO, Al2 O3 , SiO2 , BaO, MgO.Al2 O3 , MgO-SiO2 , CaO.Al2 O3 , BaO.Al2 O3 , and SrO.Al2 O3 , is adjusted. Then, the ribbon of a bobbin 1 is, by rotation of a bobbin 7, moved at a constant speed toward the bobbin 7. Here, the ribbon is allowed to pass the coating solution 4 provided in a coating chamber 5 so that the coating solution 4 is adsorbed and coated on the surface of ribbon, then dried through an electric furnace 6. Then, the coated ribbon is thermally processed.
