PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a tooth skipping phenomenon in which a tooth of a timing belt skips a tooth space of a pulley and meshes with the next tooth space of the pulley so as to produce noise sound, and to facilitate and hasten the winding of the timing belt onto the pulley. ;SOLUTION: A bearing panel 15 for bearing the outer peripheral surface 11b of a timing belt stretched between a drive pulley 9 and a driven pulley, on the outside of the pulley 9, is secured to a base 1 or the like at a predetermined position. An inserting and removing gap B having dimensions with which the timing belt 1 can be wound on the drive pulley 9 is defined between the drive pulley 9 and a front side flange 9b. With this arrangement, the timing belt can be rapidly wound on and fromved from the drive pulley 9 simply in such a way that the timing belt is inserted or pulled through the gap B. With no positional adjustment of the bearing plate, the stretched timing belt can prevent occurrence of a tooth skipping phenomenon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
