PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a query device for a function position and make difficult illegal switch operation with the operation of an outside magnet. ;SOLUTION: An automobile door lock has a circular laminated magnet segment 1 as a switch operating element rotatable around the geometrical center axis of a locking cylinder together with a key and the locking cylinder. Both hall sensors 2, 3 are arranged at a space at the front or rear side of the laminated magnet segment. One of the hall sensors 2, 3 is an unlocking and locking sensor and the other is a theft preventing sensor. The laminated magnet segment is laid on both of the hall sensors at the function position, 'the start position', of the locking cylinder and on one of the hall sensors at the function position, 'the unlocking or locking position' or 'the theft preventing position'. At this time, the laminated magnet segment operates as a center-zero switch in relation to both hall sensors at 'the start position' so that an electronic controller can recognize 'illegal operation' when switching field strength does not operate on both sensors.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
