PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sufficient cushioning property while keeping durability, and facilitate the manufacture by covering the fitted surface of a glass cloth having an adhesive applied to the inner wall surface bonded and fixed so as to enclose a rock wool fiber material with a double-sided tape having a release paper bonded to the surface bonded and fixed to the glass cloth. ;SOLUTION: A duct flange gasket 1 to be interposed between the flanges of the connecting parts of ducts such as exhaust gas ducts comprises a rock wool fiber material 4 formed into a gasket form having a rectangular section. It also comprises a glass cloth 6 having an adhesive 6 applied to the inner wall surface bonded and fixed so as to enclose the rock wool fiber material 4 in the butted state of both end parts. The butted surfaces of the glass cloth 6 are covered with a double-sided tape having a release paper 7 bonded to the surface bonded and fixed to the glass cloth 6. Thus, the gasket 1 is cut in a dimension capable of being bonded and fixed to one flange of the connecting part, the release paper 7 of the cut gasket 1 is peeled, and the gasket 1 is bonded and fixed to the one flange by the double-sided tape 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
