Casting abrasion resistance hollow sphere

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing hollow ball formed on a hollow ceramic core and to furnish its casting method. ;SOLUTION: A metallic hollow ball 10 is cast around a hollow ceramic core 12 not generating gas in the casting stage. The core 12 is held in the center in the cast ball 10 when cast with a ceramic solid supporting member 14. Since the core 12 is made of the inert refractory not generating gas when a liq. metal is poured into a die and solidified to cast the ball main body, either an opening or a hole is not provided in the supporting member 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
