PURPOSE: To guide vehicles with motions extremely approximate to natural motions and to smoothly and surely control the traffic by driving parts constructed as a movable section by a remote driving means. ;CONSTITUTION: A traffic control robot 20 is an android like a traffic quide man, and having a white guide flag 25 at his right hand and a red guide flag 26 at his left hand. The robot puts on a helmet 28 provided with a light emitting signal flag 27 consisting of red and green high intensity luminance light emitting LEDs on his head part. During the night or the like, the robot holds the green and red guide lights instead of the flags 25 and 26. When an operator 1 operates a controller 2, respective parts to be constructed as mobile sections, such as, a head 21, right and left shoulders 22A and 22B, right and left elbows 23A and 23B, and waist 24 are driven while their motion is converted into the three basic guide forms 'stop' 'attention' and 'go' as a converted motion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
