PURPOSE: To obtain a method and apparatus for producing high chromatography eluate by partitioning an original channel and a product channel through a selective Ion exchange membrane, and applying electric potential therebetween. ;CONSTITUTION: Selected sodium of an ion species of eluate Is directed to the anode source channel of an electrolyte cell 24 from a sodium source 23. A product channel is supplied from a water vessel 26 to the opposite side of a selective ion exchange membrane. An electron device 28 operates to apply electric potential to a cathode 30 and anode 32 positioned at both the sides of the ion exchange membrane. Eluate is led to a chromatography column 10 by the use of pump 22. Eluate flown out of the column 10 is converted to a feeble conductive one in a restrainer 12. In an electric conductive cell 14, through the existence of an ion species, an electric signal is generated in proportion to its quantity. The electric signal is introduced to the conductivity meter of a data device 16, thereby detecting directly the density of the separated ion species.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
