PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a human immune interferon polypeptide analog by proliferating a microorganism transformed with a biological functional DNA containing a produced specific gene under a nutrient condition and expressing the gene in the microorganism. SOLUTION: This method comprises a process for proliferating a microorganism transformed with a biological functional DNA containing a produced gene under a proper nutrient condition and forming a human immune interferon polypeptide analog by expressing the gene in the microorganisms. The produced gene has a produced linear double strand DNA sequence encoding the expression of a polypeptide different from a human immune interferon in kind and/or position of one or more amino acids in a selected host microorganism transformed with a selected DNA vector. The sequence is a produced linear double strand DNA sequence containing 6 base pair recognition site of a characteristic palindrome for cleavage by a restriction endonuclease at the intermediate position of the sequence. The objective compound is obtained by the process.
