The call reception control method of wide-area pager to prevent reception errors in the boundary region

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call reception control method in a broad area pocket pager where radio call service is continuously received stably without mis- reception of a radio call signal even when the user moves to a border area in the case of roaming. ;SOLUTION: When the user roams in areas, confirmation data including information of a moving destination area applied to a communication company, that is, 'roaming confirmation data' are set to a radio call signal transmitted from a base station and the resulting signal is transmitted. When a broad area pocket pager receives the roaming confirmation data, a CPU 16 recognizes an area to which the user is moved and when roaming is caused, channel information for all areas stored in a memory section 14 is used but the reception channel is unchanged and only the channel information of the area denoted by the roaming confirmation data is used and the reception channel is changed to basically prevent reception of a channel of an adjacent area and mis- recognition of the roaming thereby.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
