PURPOSE: To produce a carbide dispersed carburizing product combining stable wear resistance, toughness and machinability by subjecting a steel having a specified compsn. constituted of C, Si, Mn, Cr and Fe to carbide dispersing carburizing and forming a specified carburizing layer. ;CONSTITUTION: A steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.05 to 0.18% C, ≤1.5% Si, ≤1% Mn and 5 to 15% Cr, furthermore contg., at need, prescribed amounts of Ni, Mo, V, Cu, Nb and Co, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to carbide dispersing carburizing, and, on the obtd. carburizing layer, alloy carbides essentially consisting of M7C3 are formed. At this time, as for the carburizing layer, in the range of 0.1mm depth, the average grain size (d) of the carbides contg. ≥1.0% C and having ≥700Hv hardness and ≥0.5μm diameter is regulated to ≥0.1μm. Moreover, (α) obtd. by the formula (α=3.6-0.070d-0.14C-0.0034Hv) is regulated to ≤0. 65. Besides, the hardness of the noncarburized part is regulated to 270 to 350Hv.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
