PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently separate oil and water by coarsely granulating fine waterdrops mixed with oil easily in a short time even when a ratio of fine waterdrops present in oil is high while suppressing the generation of foam. ;SOLUTION: The oil-water separating filter is constituted by successively superposing a fibrous sheet A based on fibers with a fiber diameter of 0.1-3.7 μm, a fiber filling ratio of 10-70% and a critical surface tension of fibers of 40 dyne/c or more, a hydrophobia fibrous sheet B and a fibrous sheet C based on fibers with a fiber diameter of 5-40 μm, a fiber filling ratio of 20% or less and a critical surface tension of fibers of 50 dyne/cm or less on upon another. In the coarsely granulating and separating method, an oil-water mixed liquid is supplied to the oil-water separating filter on the side of the fibrous sheet (A) constituting the filter to be passed therethrough and fine waterdrops in an oil-water mixed liquid are coarsely granulated to separate water or oil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
