PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering preventing method capable of being applied to an open system too and capable of efficiently executing the scattering preventing of the fine powder ash by a simple operation and to provide a fine powder ash fixing agent suitable to use for this method.;SOLUTION: The fine powder ash fixing agent is composed of a konjak mannan soln., and the agent is scattered to a fine powder ash generating source to sufficiently permeate the agent into the ash and to gel the konjak mannan soln. by the alkali component in the fine powder ash and to prevent the scattering of the fine powder ash. The concn. of the konjak mannan soln. is kept within 0.01-3 wt.%, and basic material is added to the konjak mannan soln. to keep its ratio within the range of 1-2 wt. times based on the weight of the konjak mannan.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
