PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low benzene high octane gasoline base material from a light catalytic reformate contg. a 6-7C paraffin and benzene. ;SOLUTION: In this method, a light reformate contg. a 6-7C paraffin and benzene is treated over a metal carrying zeolite catalyst, and 6C paraffin is skeletally isomerized and a 7C paraffin is mainly decomposed, and benzene is simultaneously alkylated with the decomposed hydrocarbon in the reaction zone, so that the light catalytic reformate contg. the 6-7C paraffin and benzene is converted to a low benzene high octane gasoline base material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
