PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth auger for planting a paper-pot seedling enabling the reduction of labor, and capable of boring a planting hole of a specific size, preventing the rising of a mulch sheet and improving the growth of a paper-pot seedling. ;SOLUTION: A rotating blade 2 is attached on a supporting member 3 in a vertically movable manner and driven to rotate by an engine 32. Accompanying the rotation, the blade edge pierces a mulch sheet MS and goes down while digging up soil to bore a specifically sized hole. A circular ring member 9 for suppressing the rising of the mulch sheet MS is attached at the lower end of a supporting frame 6, and a cylindrical cover 11 for preventing the spreading of soil SL is fixed on the outer periphery of the circular ring member 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
