PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the occurrence of tension abnormality to be accurately detected even in the case where difference is present in averaged values of the tensions among the spindles. ;SOLUTION: This false-twist texturing machine has a yarn tension detector arranged on the upstream or downstream side of a false-twisting device, and a controller for judging tension abnormality based on the detected tension value outputted from the yarn tension detector. The controller detects the tension abnormality based on the third wave shape W3 obtained by dividing the second wave shape W2 obtained by shifting an original wave shape W1 along the time base, from the original wave shape W1 showing time fluctuation of the detected tension value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
