PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an αβ detector and an αβ detection device using it that can be fully put into practical applications as a detector for monitoring radiation, at the same time, can be manufactured at low costs, and can independently and simultaneously detect α and β rays while fully suppressing γ-ray sensitivity and securing the maximum sensitivity. ;SOLUTION: A device is equipped with a glare protection film 12 where αand β rays can be transmitted and at the same time the incidence of light can be obstructed, first and second scintillators 14 and 15 that emit light by the α and β rays through the glare protection film 12, respectively, a condensation means 18 that condenses light emitted by the first and second scintillators 14 and 15, and one or more photo detectors 17 that detect light being condensed by the condensation means 18. In the device, air layer is included between the first and second scintillators 14 and 15, and at the same time, the light emission center wavelength of the first scintillator 14 is set shorter than that of the second one 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
