PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the various cut lengths of a lead terminal by a method wherein the cut length of a lead terminal is matched to the preset scale of the scale part of a vertically moving cam lever. ;SOLUTION: The cut length of terminals 12b, matched to the thickness of a printed board where a high density terminal part is used, is aligned to the scale part 24a of a vertically moving cam lever 24 on the main body 21 having a fixed blade part 21a. At this point, the cut length of the terminals 12b is set by moving up and down a housing supporting vertically moving stage 23, the terminals are placed on the housing supporting vertically moving stage 23 along a housing guide plate 25, and they are positioned. The terminals 12b of a high density multiterminal part are inserted into the blade hole of the fixed blade part 21a of the main body 21, a housing press-plate 26 and a terminal press-plate 27 come down, and the terminals 12b are pressed. Terminal press spacers 28 are inserted between the terminals 12b in forward and reverse directions, and the intervals of the terminals 12b are adjusted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
