PURPOSE: To facilitate compaction work by forming a compaction device out of a guide rail and a slide travel mechanism laid so as to be faced to each other via the insertion hole of a form used for tunnel lining, a seat and an excitation member. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic motor 7 is secured to a bracket 6 and the rack 14 of a seat 8 having an excitation member 9 is made to gear with a pinion 12. Also, a guide roller 15 is kept in contact with a guide rail 5 and a stopper 18 is set to make preparations for a compaction work. Then, lining concrete 3 is placed in space between the skin plate la of a tunnel lining form 1 and a tunnel interior surface 2, and a motor 7 is driven to rotate. Also, the member 9 is inserted in the concrete 3 from the insertion hole 4 of the form 1 and made to advance and retreat. At the same time, the member 9 is driven to vibrate, thereby compacting the concrete 3. According to this construction, a compaction work is carried out approximately automatically after installing a compaction device 20 in the form 1, thereby allowing an easy work.
