PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient effects by using an HMD for a practice in playing a wind instrument. ;SOLUTION: A dummy saxophone 1 has a pitch switch part 10 and inputs musical sound data according to playing operation. A CPU 15 supplies the inputted musical sound data to a source 20 to control sound generation. A ROM 16 is stored with musical instrument image data showing the three- dimensional shape of an actual wind instrument and fingering image data showing the three-dimensional shape of fingering for playing the actual wind instrument. The CPU 15 performs an image process for the musical instrument image data in the ROM 16 with a photographed image of an HMD 5 inputted from a CCD camera 11 and displays the image-processed musical instrument image data on a display 12 of the HMD 5, and performs the image process for the musical instrument image data in the ROM 16 according the playing operation of the dummy saxophone 1 and displays the image-processed fingering image data on the display 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
