PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely purge a pulverized coal pipe by increasing an in-pipe flow speed in a pulverized coal pipe without increasing a primary air flow rate. ;SOLUTION: A desired cut damper 8 (A-1, 2) is closed from an open state of all cut dampers 8 (a-1 to 6), and primary air is passed through a pulverized coal pipe 7 other than pulverized coal pipes 7 of the closed cut damper 8 (A-1, 2) for purging, and then the cut damper 8 (A-1, 2) is opened and the other cut dampers 8 (A-3, 4) are closed, and primary air is passed through the pulverized coal pipe 7 other than the pulverized coal pipes 7 of the closed cut dampers 8 (A-3, 4) for purging. Further, the cut damper 8 (A-3, 4) is opened, and the other cut dampers 8 (A-5, 6) are closed, and primary air is passed through the pulverized coal pipe 7 other than the pulverized coal pipes 7 of the closed cut dampers 8 (A-5, 6) for purging.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
