PRODUCTION OF DRY MEDICINAL HERB, APPARATUS THEREFOR, AND DRY MEDICINAL HERB OBTAINED BY THE PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dry medicinal herb capable of readily taking while saving a work for decoction in every times of the taking by drying a medicinal herb including water by irradiation of a far-infrared light. ;SOLUTION: A dry medicinal herb 21 is obtained by irradiating a far-infrared light to the medicinal herb 21 including water. Preferably, the dry medicinal herb 21 is obtained by shielding the herb 21 from the outer air by sealing, placing the herb 21 containing water in an oven filled with a wet inert gas, then dehumidifying inside of the oven to dry. A semi-dried medicinal herb 21 is charged into the oven from an opened part 3 and water is added inside the oven, then a cap is closed. Next, a valve 27 is closed while opening an exhaustion port 22 of a coagulation device 14 and a valve of a control device 13, then a gas 16 is fed into the oven, then a rotation roller 19 is rotated to rotate the oven. A heating lamp 20 is ignited and the far-infrared light is irradiated. The temperature in the oven is controlled with a thermostat 11. The system is subjected to wet treatment and the gas dehumidified with the coagulation device 14 is fed into the oven through a fan 15 to dry the medicinal herb 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
