PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect the set water level while maintaining a detecting function without generating the damage due to the impact by fall and collision even if the water flowing into a tank provided with pump is contaminated with the impurities such as cement and rubbish. ;SOLUTION: In this electrode, one end of a coil spring electrode 3 is fitted to an electrode socket 2 provided outside of a pump motor, and a plug-like, cap-like or an annular conductor 4 is fitted to the other end of the electrode 3, which is led downward, so as to increase the water contact area. With this structure, since the electrode is formed into a coil spring, the collision absorbing work is generated, and the water contact area is increased by the conductor at a tip of the electrode, which is led downward, so as to improve the water level detecting function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
