PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate interruption of data at the time of a fault by sending a switch request in a direction reverse to the generation path of the fault when the fault is generated at a transmission line and hourly phase-adjusting a signal before the generation of the fault sent from an add station to be a signal after the generation of the fault to output. ;SOLUTION: When a node station 10-C detects generation of the fault at the transmission line between with a node station 10-B, the switch request is sent in the direction of a node station 10-D by a switch byte, and a D station receiving this transfers the switch request to a node station 10-A when its own station is a through station. At the time of judging its own station to be an add station, an A station bridge-processes the switch node, inserts a path signal before the generation of the fault read from a memory into a transmission line in a direction reverse to the fault generating transmission line and information showing a bridge state to a switch byte by a space channel to output. A C-station adjusts the phases of the path signal sent from the A-station and the path signal of an active channel and outputs the path signal of a stand-by channel from the A station received after the generation of the fault to a low-speed transmission line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
