PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a simple and speedy test of lgA nephrophathy to be performed by measuring urinastatin in urine. ;SOLUTION: As the method for measuring urinastatin, any of immunological measuring methods such as a method for measuring low-sulfated chondroitin 4-sulfate LSC in a 0-bound sugar chain of urinastatin, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using an anti-urinastatin antibody, etc., and a trypsin inhibition activity measuring method may be used. As a method for measuring LSC, a method for analyzing unsaturated disaccharide through the use of a high-performance liquid chromatography HPLC is suitable in the respects of sensitivity and accuracy. As an enzyme, hyaluronidaze SD which frees Δ Di-OS from LSC is suitable. An enzymic immunoassay as immunological measurement includes processes to react urinastatin in urine with an anti-urinastatin antibody, to react the unreacted remaining anti-urinastatin antibody with urinastatin contained in a support medium, and to measure the amount of label of a reaction product by oxygen activity.
