PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a noble metal high strength sintered compact capable of forming a high grade noble metal article or thin film excellent in strength characteristics, and the noble metal high strength sintered compact. ;SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, 99.9-99.5 wt.% of a noble metal powder consisting of one or more kinds among powders of noble metals such as gold, palladium and silver, and powders of noble metal alloys, 0.01-0.5 wt.% of a metal powder forming solid solutions with the noble metal powder and improving hardness after sintering, and an organic binder which is optionally added in an amount of ≤10.0% are kneaded and formed into a proper shape or a composition containing the organic binder is molded or allowed to adhere to an article, followed by drying and sintering.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
